Rise and Grind, it’s almost Market time!
We’re kicking off our Food for Foodies series with the first meal for many market goers: coffee. We picked some of our favorite local spots that will start your day off on a high note to keep you energized for those long market days.
‘83 Custom Coffee
First on our High Point coffee tour is ‘83 Custom Coffee. On your way into market you’ll find this inviting coffee truck parked on Main Street. If you have more time, they have both indoor and patio seating. In addition to serving up craft coffees they also have a great pastry selection, making this a perfect on the go option.
Since 1997 DeBeen Espresso has been serving up the freshest local brews. Not only will you find a perfect cup of coffee, but DeBeen also offers a delicious assortment of Smoothies, Baked Goods, and Gelato. Even more, if you’re needing to blow off some Market steam and re-center, take a yoga class at Pure Light Yoga, located in DeBeen.
The Wet Whistle Co.
Though their Flagship location is in Archdale, The Wet Whistle Co. sets up shop every Market in the 200 Steele Building. Here you’ll find an assortment of COMPLIMENTARY coffees, seasonal lattes, and teas (don’t forget to tip!)
For those non coffee drinkers or those who want to switch it up, start your day off on a healthy note at OrganicAF Juice Company. With freshly pressed juices, nut milks, elixirs and smoothies, you’ll leave feeling energized and ready to take on a long market day. Recommendation: Look for their seasonal beverages like the FallAF juice (Apple, Sweet Potato, Pear and Pumpkin Spice) for all of you PSL lovers out there!
