With only 42 days until Market, there is no way we can tell you about all of the amazing Steelyard partner-brands showing in High Point if we don't start now.
From timeless classics like Kindel and Century, to new kids on the block (did anyone else just start singing The Right Stuff?) like Watermark Living and Piper Collection, we've got something for every taste, budget, and project. So let’s dive in!
Kindel Grand Rapids
When we left HPMKT last October, the brand we could not shake from our daydreams was Kindel Grand Rapids. You may know them better as just Kindel (the original), or you may know the two other brands that are now under the Kindel umbrella - Karges and Councill.
Either way, they launched a collection called Facets in October that has changed the way we look at case goods. Read here why this 100-year-old Michigan company is tuned into the future of fine furniture, and be sure to go see them in person in their showroom at 200 Steele (#103).
Steelyard HQ is based in Florida, so those of us on the team who live there year-round (it’s a tough job but someone has to do it!) know firsthand what a beating outdoor furniture takes. Which is why we have a true respect for Watermark Living. Why? Because they launched with a commitment to doing outdoor furniture right.
The Watermark team is based in FL and they know what it takes to build furniture that not only looks good, but can stand up to year-round exposure. And in our opinion, they are some of the nicest people in the industry. They won’t tell you how much they do for charity, but we will...it’s a lot!! They work closely with All Children’s Hospital in the Tampa Bay area, along with many other charities. Good hearts, good product, good people.
And while you’re in the Watermark showroom, don’t forget to check out their extensive selection of in-house fabrics that allows for an unbelievable quick turnaround on cushion and pillow selections. 205 S. Main St.
While we can’t keep up with the growing list of brands that falls under Rock House Farms, we always know where to start - Century! The Shuford family has done furniture right for generations, and they continue to evolve and take us on an aesthetic journey each market that thrills the senses. (take a tour of last Spring’s showroom HERE)
While you are in 200 Steele to see Facets by Kindel, take a walk upstairs to # 213 to see Alex and Comer and you will not be disappointed.
We introduced you to Whitney ahead of Fall Market, and many of you have taken the time to declare you have a new “pillow girl”. Geez, what took you so long?! We love Whitney and everything she is doing.
So if you are still making your own pillows, or simply going back to the same well over and over again, it’s time to shake it up. Meet Whitney and Piper Collection. That cute showroom is in Suites at Market Square #G2019.
